Custom Winterborne frames are hand built using 4130 chromoly Tubing , and specialzing in the timeless tradition of lugged joints!

This section of the web site is meant to give the visitor an idea of what goes on here at the shop during a custom build. The first step of the process is settling on a design of the bicycle. To reach this end some simple dimensions are taken from the cyclist, to help establish a base line for fit. As I've learned through experience simply plunking some numbers into an equation doesn't necessarily produce an optimum fit.

Winterborne Custom Bicycles is located in Guelph Ontario, within an hour drive of Toronto. Located in an area at the cross roads of industry, technology, and agriculture, Guelph is a progressive family oriented community. Cycling in this area is great as there are lots of trails for mountain bikes, and premier road cycling accessible within just a 5 to 10 minute pedal in any direction out of town.
